NYC is in effect a fascist police state. They're most effective weapons have been police on horseback. Is their any simple to use tactics to neutralize a horse in this kind of setting?

I have seen people lay flat on the ground. This will stop the horses but you also face being trampled. The other option is making noise makers...a can with rocks in it will often scare the horses.

If you make a BOX formation with people, the horses will not come at you.

The above ideas usually work. however be sure that you do not injure the horses in the process no matter how you confront them. The horses didnt choose to be cops. A method I found effective is to get on the horses good side. One time I fed the horses and the horse was too busy eating to go anywhere. Of course that only works temporarily until the cops come for you, then the fun starts.

We need all of DC to please come out and join us in this community effort to stop the war.
In every other city, protest are occurring daily, why should DC be any different? So to show the rest of the country how we protest in the capital we are calling for a massive DIE-IN at Freedom Plaza. We will meet at 11 where we will have a quick meeting to discuss and get people who are already not bloodied up, bloodied up and dead looking. This is a community event so I am asking that no groups come down with their name on signs and banners. We are asking people to come together as individuals not as groups such as Answer.
What we need-
We need everyone who can to bring supplies such as-
Fake blood
Chalk (for outlining bodies)
Bandages
Megaphones
Banners
Signs
And anything else you can think of bringing.
The message that is being relayed is we do not want to see anymore deaths to both Iraqis civilians and American soldiers. Please remember that this is a non-violent action, so lets keep the destruction and violence at home. This is also a protest strictly dealing with the death to American Soldiers and Iraqi civilians, nothing else, so please keep other views at home. By this I mean specifically that this is dealing with the deaths of peoples lives in this conflict. There will however be the risk of arrests. If you choose to disobey the police and stay, you have that choice, but you are also free to leave unharmed. But we need as many people as we can to please come to this die in. Once the DIE IN is over, around 12 or so, we can than continue the day and head to Lafayette Park. So if you are unable to come at 11 for the die in, than join us at Lafayette Park anytime after. Just because the war has begun, doesn’t mean we stop fighting.
We also need people to contact the media, despite how we feel about main stream news, it will help further our message to people. This is an event where we need DC to come together as a community.
